Nourishing Greatness

There are a few colorful Advent calendars at the Welcome Center to help support Nourishing Greatness.

Nourishing Greatness is the weekend food program taking place in the Vandalia high school and junior high school for students who may otherwise go without nourishing food options over the weekend.

During the month of December, they are asking for people to pick up the food items listed on the Advent calendar. Every completed calendar provides a child with a month’s supply of weekend meals.

Food and/or monetary donations may be made. If you’d like to take your donation directly to the Regional Office of Education #3 building located at 1500 W Jefferson St in Vandalia, you may do so at the West end of the building between the hours of 2:30-4 pm any day school is in session. You may also leave food donations at the church and Jamie Cearlock or Cathy Jones will deliver to the ROE #3 building. If you’d prefer to mail a check, you may send checks made payable to OCF-VAF to:
Debbie Hobbie
818 E 2075 Ave
Ramsey, IL 62080

If the calendars run out, but you’d still like to help, contact Jamie Cearlock at (618) 267-4972.
